Entries from the past few days...

...actually through 12/27.  I need to remember...draw every day and draw for me!  It's wierd, whenever I put pressure on myself I seem to freeze up.  And in a way, this blog site is self-imposed pressure.  Even though no one has looked at/commented on it and I created it for me.  Ah well...something to deal with within myself...something to work on letting go of...

One of the drawbacks...

...to having a "studio" in the back of my yard during winter.  I'm too lazy to lug my computer out to the printer that is out there to scan my daily drawings when the temps are in the 20's.  Yesterday's image was taken with my camera which I didn't do today.  Later I'll share about Casa de Changa...my "studio" - the quotation marks indicating a lack of confidence on my part with regard to my artistic endeavor...something I am currently working on.  Meanwhile, tomorrow is Christmas and Joe and I plan to climb out of the freezing fog of Walla Walla to seek sun in the higher elevations of the Blues.  After that, I will return to Changa to scan my daily drawings.

My Daily Drawing...

To vacuum or not to vacuum?  Thought I would get inspired by sketching the cumbersome thing...  And yes I did end up vacuuming.

Today's Sketch...

I'm inspired reading about Danny Gregory and ordered two of his books - Everyday Matters and  The Creative License: Giving Yourself Permission to Be The Artist You Truly Are  They should be arriving tomorrow!

Can I draw everyday?  Of course I can...but will I?  Here's my drawing from today.  It's been in the teens and twenties here and my cat Ollie is the master of snuggling...here he is in a knitted tube I made specifically for him to crawl into.  And no, he isn't missing an ear, it's tucked into the blanket!

This is in one of my wirebound sketchbook journals.  You can see more of my sketches if you follow the link to "My Wirebound Sketchbook Journals" under the pages heading to your left above.

Today I Begin!

I waffle in my commitment to creativity...a dabbler with potential.  Today I will scan and post some journal pages.  Seeing them here, what will that give me?  A sense of accomplishment?  A sense of pride?  A commitment to putting myself "out there?"  Whatever, it's a first step for me!
