A place for me to share and reflect as I commit to embarking on my creative journey. I've journaled for over half my life and recently have delved into sketchbook journaling.

Day 3 - Two Drawings: "Cow Backbone Take 3" and an "Orchid"
I wanted to compare the backbone (different angle) using the tombow on my coldpress paper vs. the hot press I did on day 1.
Lafazio Week 3 Assignment - Draw directly onto the page with pen in a continuous contour line drawing. Decided to try my hand at at an orchid.
On the hotpress I never feel as in control of the watercolors, the water seems to float on the top more. That being said, I do like the crisp look of the hotpress but I also like the rougher looks of my coldpress work. I still lean towards coldpress but plan to incorporate some hot press pages in with coldpress when I make my next watercolor journal so I can have options.

How did your cold press compare with the hot? Could you tell a difference as you were working?
Your orchid page is stunning! One of my favorite flowers and you've captured it well.
